How do you open plastic packaging easily?

Do you know any tricks to easily open hard plastic packaging , you know the kind i, maybe you, have to hack at with a pair of scissors for a few hours with before you can finally pull it apart

1. well you can use scissors or a little sharp knife.but is it really that hard to open a plastic packaging.if it takes a few hours with scissors to open it get a knife and go crazy on the packaging with it.
2. A couple of years ago they sold an item called pyranna to open plastic. I haven't seen it in stores locally. http://www.pyranna.com/?gclid=CJ-fgr6kypkCFYVM5QodKXD7ug I use a cutter to open mine, but it isn't that safe.
